New York fashion has always been known for its modern, forward-looking aesthetic. The designers that show in New York are trailblazers when it comes to creating bold, edgy collections.
They are often positioning fashion as a tool for commentary on social issues and/or current events. We look to New York for clues as to what is of the moment – what is “cool.” From geometric shapes to slick sci-fi shields, futuristic eyewear is just that. After two years of a global pandemic, this trend reflects exactly where we find ourselves at this moment in time – wanting to leave the past behind and look to the future.
