Why Regional Celebrities Can’t Get Enough Of Bright-Hued Statement Dresses
Within the span of a few days, both Nadine Njeim and Yasmine Sabri were spotted wearing canary yellow gowns at two separate formal events…
With wedding season in full swing and more events taking place, a few of our favourite regional celebrities have been spotted celebrating in – what is best described as – nature’s happy colour….
Lebanese actress and new face of Damas Jewellery, Nadine Njeim has shared with her follower’s images from a recent event in Dubai where she was appointed the new brand ambassador. The start of hit Ramadan series 20/20 stole the show in a beautiful canary yellow gown by the designer Zuhair Murad; the halter-neck high-slit dress was paired with a sleek ponytail hair look and a light smoky eye.
A few days prior to that Egyptian model and actress Yasmine Sabri was spotted wearing a bright-hued custom Nicolas Jebran dress at the wedding of Aly El Gamil’s wedding in El Gouna, Egypt.
The off-the-shoulder glistening gown was a mesmerizing choice and caused plenty of “chatter” across various social media platforms, as the posts she shared in the dress amassed thousands of likes and comments within the span of a few hours.
But was it a coincidence? Why are regional celebrities opting to wear bright yellow when making a statement at events?
Traditionally, yellow symbolises optimism, joy, happiness and friends – meaning after a year of lockdowns, social distancing and uncertainty it is the perfect colour to wear when celebrating reinstated privileges, like social events with loved ones or honouring a momentous occasion. Therefore, we expect we’ll be seeing more A-Listers in this bright sunshine shade in the future.
In the meantime, Bazaar shares how you can shop this happy hue and find your own canary yellow dream dress from the comforts of your own home…
