AIGNER Teams Up This Major Fashion Icon For Their Autumn/Winter 2019 Campaign
Can we be Iris Apfel when we grow up?
Iris Apfel is back – back with AIGNER for the second time since she joined forces with the label in 2016.
The 97-year-old fashion icon has long been the epitome of independent style and as such is the perfect partner for AIGNER’s autumn/winter 2019 ‘Enlightenment’ collection.
Designed to reflect a sense of liberation from outdated ideas and progress, the A/W19 collection is heavy on patterns made up of flowers, checks and the AIGNER horseshoe logo motif. The engaging patterns can be found across all fashion categories, including bags, accessories, scarves and shoes.
Deep black is also notable throughout the collection – not only in the bag series but also in the new leather jackets, coats and soft leather ‘puffer-style’ vests.
Iris Apfel plays her part perfectly by charismatically presents the latest bag designs and patterned looks. She models the ‘Dea Bag’, ‘Epona Bag’ and ‘Milano Bag’ alongside AIGNER’s signature bag ‘Cybill’, her presence set amid a sea of flowers, in a check room and against a wall bearing the label’s globally-renowned logo.
Not only has the fashion house used the interior design veteran to promote its design, it has also gone with big-name locations, like the exclusive Milk Studios in New York, and a big-name photographer in Ruven Afnador, an American-Colombian celebrity shooter.
According to AIGNER boss Sibylle Schon the team couldn’t be happier with its collaboration with Iris Apfel. “Meeting Iris Apfel was a very special experience once again – we are happy that we were able to have her for our campaign one more time.”
