Alexa Chung Debuts Her Eponymous Fashion Line

And it’s oh-so Alexa

The who’s who of the British fashion scene gathered at the Danish church in St Johns Wood in North London overnight to watch the ultimate ‘it’ girl Alexa Chung debut her much-hyped eponymous collection. 

Guests sat in the pews whilst the aisle of the church served as a runway – and there was even a children’s choir to top it all off. Models sashayed past the crowd in a variety of designs, all heavily inspired by the 1960s and, of course, Alexa’s own style. High-waisted leather skirts were teamed with chunky printed jumpers, whilst black pinafore dresses were expertly paired with softly ruffled blouses and tailored blazers and trousers framed vintage-esque tees for a look that screamed nonchalant cool. 

Speaking with Business of Fashion after the show, Alexa said, “The first season is about getting to know [the brand]. It’s been a long time gestating. I started doing this when I turned 30.” She added, “I’m not making ultra forward-thinking, mind-blowing creations. What I do want to make is lovely jumpers that will last you for a few years that you can wear or love or jeans that will make your bum look nice.”
