Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing Teams Up With Nike

Your gym kit is set to get an It-girl overhaul

Olivier Rousteing is one of those rare forces of fashion at the moment to earn the “everything he touches turns to gold” title. Take – as one small example – the Balmain x H&M collaboration, which caused a complete shopping frenzy, sold-out worldwide within minutes and fetched ten times its value in eBay resales.

Nike knows this, which is why they tapped the 29-year-old for a new collaboration with their high-end project NikeLab (which has previously partnered by with Riccardo Tisci). Rousteing shared a first-look at campaign imagery from the collection – dubbed Nike X Olivier Rousteing: Football Nouveau, as it celebrates the designer’s love for soccer – on Instagram, revealing that he’s sticking to his Balmain aesthetic of black and gold.

The collaboration is set to drop come June 2nd, but is, sadly, only available at NikeLab – which currently isn’t stocked here in the Middle East. But, keep your eyes peeled on the Nike website for an updated list of international stockists (for those overseas jaunts this summer), closer to the drop date.
