Dubai Collections: The Top Eight Moments
From the catwalk selfies to backstage beauty and everything in between, here are our favourite moments from the fashionable weekend
One: Arwa Al Banawi’s camel-coloured separates
The talented young Saudi designer served up a collection in a rich, earthy palette. The sleek separates in flattering cuts were what topped our wish list.
Two: Dima Ayad’s rule-breaking pink and red combination
An army of models took to the runway for Dima Ayad and had the audience seeing red in the most fashionable of ways. We loved the addition of the soft pink sequins and I-woke-up-like-this waves.
Three: The beauty look at Bouguessa
The beauty look at Bouguessa (arguably the most talked about presentation from the whole weekend, and with good reason) had our hearts beating fast. The slick pontyail plaits and dramatic berry red lips combination was one that could easily be emulated for 9-5 and beyond.
Four: House Of Nomad’s strong selfie game
It was selfie season at House of Nomad with the models taking their cues from the brand’s designers Ahmed El-Sayed and Saleh Al-Banna and posing up a storm with their personal cameras.
Five: Elegant eveningwear at Endemage
Endemage has all of your eveningwear dilemmas, sorted. Feminine frills met a strong navy colour palette, and traditional design was married with contemporary silhouettes resulting in a collection brimming with pieces made for the modern woman.
Six: Taller Marmo’s bold beauty
Yago and Riccardo delivered a seriously strong collection, with an even stronger beauty look, and we loved every moment of it.
Seven: All Things Mochi’s African safari
Ayah Tabari took her presentation audience on a journey through Africa, the inspiration behind her latest collection. Traditional African drums provided the soundtrack for the space and the models rocked a contemporary, tribal-inspired beauty look that had us adding gold glitter to our to-buy list there and then.
Eight: Madiyah Al Sharqi was all about that lace
The Fujeirah designer didn’t disappoint with her newest collection in which pieces were carefully crafted from delicate lace in a saccharine colour palette. Perfect for those with a sartorial sweet tooth.
