Exclusive | Chloé And UNICEF Join Forces To Launch The Girls Forward Campaign
This International Women’s Day, Lucy Boynton and Katie Holmes are kick-starting the Girls Forward campaign to raise awareness about gender equality
Women globally earn 77 per cent of what men earn. Unfortunately, that statistic applies only to women given the opportunity to enter the working world. UNICEF is on a mission to reach 6.5 million adolescent girls and young women worldwide to equip them with the skills they need to advance in the workplace and has partnered with Chloé for support.
The Girls Forward campaign features actors Lucy Boynton and Katie Holmes who will use their voices to spread the word about UNICEF’s mission and its gender equality programmes that are helping the next generation of working women. Girls Forward will teach digital skills and entrepreneurial advancement as part of programmes implemented in Bolivia, Jordan, Morocco, Senegal and Tajikistan, among others.
On March 6, Chloé will release a T-shirt, necklace and bracelet of which 100 per cent of the proceeds go directly to UNICEF to contribute toward the Girls Forward initiative.
The T-shirts – made from organic cotton and available in two colourways – feature the Girls Forward message of solidarity by using the symbol of two hands joined together.
The collection is available from March 6 on Chloe.com
