Christian Louboutin Debuts His Holiday Collection For 2016

And it’s a fairytale come true

Every girl knows that she can trust in Christian Louboutin, to create a magical pair of shoes for the party season and for his latest Holiday collection he has taken storytelling to a whole new level. From an illustrated novel entitled The Tale of the Shoemaker and the Stolen Stars that has been brought to life in video form, to animated window installations and in-boutique storytelling sessions it’s making the holiday season all the more special.

Illustrated by Remi Wyar, the story is about a shoemaker who is inspired by the beauty of the world around him. Much like Louboutin himself, the shoemaker is obsessed with creating the most desirable pieces in existence. Of course a fairytale wouldn’t be a fairytale without an obsessive queen, but you’ll have to watch our exclusive video below to find out the rest.

Featuring some of Louboutin’s most stunning designs from his S/S17 collection, the story centres on the Gravitanita heel embellished with stars, which is also available in flats. The ShoePeaks clutch also plays a role in the story with its seamless design, inspired by Louboutin’s 2007 collaboration with visionary and American director David Lynch.
