Dolce & Gabbana Are Building A Festive Italian Market

If you’re heading to London this winter, we know exactly where to go

London has long been a holiday destination for Middle Eastern residences – especially around the festive period. And we don’t blame them: Winter Wonderland, Oxford Street Lights, Somersert House’s ice skating rink and, of course, Harrods’ iconic lights make for a magical winter escape.

But this year, the luxury British department store announces an even more exciting addition to its festivities: an exclusive partnership with fashion house Dolce & Gabbana. The collaboration will run from 2 November to 28 December and will transform the retail space into a traditional, wintery Italian haven.

Shoppers can look forward to special window displays, dedicated pop-up spaces throughout the store, a traditional Italian street market with festive lighting, carousels and a dedicated Dolce & Gabbana Christmas Tree, which shall be decorated with gold ribbons illuminated by colourful lights, on Hans Crescent. There will even be a Sicilian puppet show, whose starring characters are none other than Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in marionettes form.

Exclusive capsule collections have, of course, been created for the festive season, with including ready-to-wear across menswear, womenswear, childrenswear and accessories, plus men’s fine jewellery, the latest make-up line and a pair of sunglasses exclusive to Harrods will all be on offer during the two month pop-up period.

The Italian market can be found on the 4th floor, as can a live painting station for shoppers who would like to customise their new handbag purchases with a hand-drawn design.
