Exclusive: Amanda Navai Unveils New Collection

Inspired by strength, endurance, power, intellect, emotions and love

Dubai-based luxury accessories designer Amanda Navai, known for her exotic skin bags in playful colourways, has launched her latest collection, Lion.

Drawing on her cultural heritage, the regional designer looks to the Persian lion, one of the main emblems of Iran, as inspiration for her new line of handbags. The motif has become a symbol of both ancient and modern traditions, which is exactly what this collection embodies. The bags are detailed with 22k gold-plated brass metal lion insignias on the clasps. The symbolic animals are facing away from each other, representing the past and the future.

“It’s important to remember your past and all the lessons learned thereof, but it’s also as important to understand the importance of looking forward into the future and being hopeful for all the endless possibilities it holds,” says designer Amanda Navai, who launched her eponmous label in 2010.

But fans of the brand ought to be quick if they want to get their hands on one of these exotic skins, for there will only be 10 versions made of each design.
