10 Brands Who Are Donating A Portion of Their Proceeds To Beirut Blast Relief Efforts

From homegrown heroes to labels from all over the world, the fashion and design community is doing its part in supporting those affected by the explosion any way it can

From fine jewelers to streetwear labels, here’s a list of 10 brands who are donating a portion of their proceeds to Beirut blast relief efforts and charities, in the wake of the horrific explosion which killed over 130 people and left thousands injured.

Repossi

Italian luxury house Repossi has announced its support of the Lebanese Red Cross. The jewelry house has it all sales of its new ‘Berbere Chromatic’ ring ,encircled in red with an engraving of the Lebanon cedar on the inside, will be donated to the organisation. With an elegant symbol of Lebanon impressed into its design, the ring will retail for Dhs13,000 and will be available for purchase in mid-September.

Also, Freedom

Through a GoFundMe initiative Los Angeles-based ‘elevated’ apparel company Also, Freedom is donating 100% of proceeds from the ‘Unify Dress’ and ‘Free Generation’ Baby Girl Tee in order to help small businesses in Beirut affected by the blast. Founder Dahlia Hage is a former Beirut  and Dubai resident. She has many friends within Beirut that inspired her to start her own company, including including Bashir Wardini whose three businesses were ruined by the blast.

In support of the Lebanese Red Cross 1998, Eygptian-based fashion brand, is donating proceeds from their Beirut inspired ‘Tote Bag’ to charity. Created specifically with the intention of raising funds, the company hopes to support those affected from the unfortunate explosion in Beirut and “contribute to make a difference.”

Eastwave is a concept that showcases a curated collection of emerging and established brands within the Middle East on various platforms. Eastwave has announced that it is donating a percentage of every sale from selected pieces within their collection to trusted Lebanese charities. These brands include Mrs. Keepa, Rula Galayini, Ammanii Jewelry and many more.

UAE-based jewellery brand and member of the Pure Gold Group Piece of You has pledged to donate a percentage of their map necklace sales to Lebanese charities for the month of August. Founded by Amreen Iqbal, the brand is known for personalized and customized jewellery.

Christopher Esber

Paying homage to his Lebanese roots, fashion designer Christopher Esber released a statement announcing that the brand is donating 100% of proceeds over the next two weeks to Impact Lebanon, Lebanon Red Cross, Lebanese Food Bank and Beit al Baraka. The brand encourages its supporters to donate to trusted organizations to help the victims of Beirut.

Amongst Few

In support of the Offre Joie, Impact Lebanon and Lebanese Red Cross Dubai-based apparel brand Amongst Few has launched a limited edition ‘Properity’ t-shirt with all proceeds donated to the previously mentioned charities. The company hopes to support those affected by the unfortunate explosion in Beirut. The T-shirt will be available for pre-order until August 10 and will be shipped out to customers on August 31.

Talar Nina

In support of the Lebanese Food Bank and Impact Lebanon, Dubai-based Ready-To-Wear label Talar Nina is donating proceeds from their Beirut-inspired ‘Liban Tote Bag.’ Created with the intention of raising funds, the cotton bags consist of old Lebanese stamps used in the 60s and 70s as well as designs by Tala Fakhoury and Lebanese artist, Leah Hadidian.

Ali Cha’aban x Nuna Atelier

Noora Al Alawi, creative director of Nuna Atelier is collaborating with Saudi-based Lebanese artist Ali Cha’aban by creating the t-shirt ‘4-8-2020.’  The t-shirt pays tribute to all of the lives lost due to the Beirut Blast as well as a symbol for those fighting for justice. The t-shirt will retail for Dhs200 with all proceeds going to the Lebanese Red Cross.

In support of the Bird of Lyf non-profit organization, Fusion by HK, an African Lebanese brand, has pledged to donate 10% of sale proceeds from its ‘Rebirth’ collection. Additionally, 100% of their profits from the recently launched initiative #Braceletsof Hope will be donated in support of families for daily supplies.

NAFSI

NAFSI is dropping a collectiong of two sustainable t-shirts in support of Beirut. One of the hertiage TEEs features the brand’s logo with a Lebanese cedar on the chest, while the other features hand-drawn Arabic calligraphy that reads ‘KAFA’. KAFA translates to ‘Enough’- a stang against the struggle of the Lebanese people. 

The two fresh TEEs are ethically made using light-weight blend of organic cotton and three recycled plastic water bottles. The t-shirts will retail for Dhs55 with all proceeds going to Impact Lebanon.
