Fashion Forward Dubai Is Introducing Its October Edition – With A Twist
With its first ever “shop-now” digital theme, mark your calendars for four days of shows, presentations, activations and events to celebrate fashion innovation and retail in the Middle East
Since 2013, Fashion Forward Dubai has been an emerging space to recognise and showcase the region’s leading designers. Taking it one step further this year, the 2019 edition is interlinking both celebrated designers hailing from the UAE and established international designers too.Taking place from 30 October to 2 November in Dubai Design District, the upcoming edition will be embodying a “shop-now” theme, as a play on the ever-evolving digital means of fashion buyers and consumers.
Speaking about the upcoming edition, Executive Director of Dubai Design District, Khadija Al Bastaki said, “We’re delighted to welcome back Dubai’s leading fashion event, Fashion Forward, to d3 this year. As a strategic partner and host venue for this season, d3 is again playing a critical part in the support of the region’s fashion industry through an event which this year will see even more designers participating and a greater number of our own business partners playing a central role in the programming. As d3 evolves, it is vital that such platforms also grow, and this edition will allow collections to be purchased at the event through the ‘shop now’ fashion platform”.
Fashion Forward Dubai
The 4-day retail pop-up will be displaying garms and chic accessory collections from some of the region’s fave (and leading) designers that will be up for sale both digitally and physically.
Amongst the throng UAE-based labels, there will also be a display of special collections from global brands available for purchase that are exclusive to the Middle East.
“The opportunity to ‘buy it now’ is a key element of FFWD 2019, as we evolve one of the region’s most compelling fashion platforms,” said Bong Guerrero, CEO and Co-Founder of Fashion Forward Dubai.
“Given our long-standing and deep-rooted presence in the regional fashion industry, we have come to understand that this is the best way to merge the retail advantage that Dubai has to offer with the commercial objectives of developing and established brands. Based on this we are connecting with dynamic designers, brands, and retail partners to bring our innovative vision to life,” he added.
