Greek Chic: Visit Gucci’s Pop-Up Shop In Mykonos

Nammos Village is the place to be this summer…

As tout le monde descends on the Greek island of Mykonos this summer, holidaymakers are set to enjoy an injection of style alongside their suntanning. The newly-renovated luxury fashion destination Nammos Village will be a hub for designer pop-ups for beach-to-browsing bliss. Gucci’s two-floor boutique set over 120 square metres and evoking a resort atmosphere is Bazaar’s first stop, selling a wide range of pieces including women’s ready-to-wear, handbags and shoes and a selection of men’s accessories. Sky blue walls, floors and ceiling reflect the Aegean Sea and interiors echo Gucci’s new collections – a combination of traditional and modern, and industrial and romantic. The store, labelled a ‘cabinet of curiosities’, much like Alessandro Michele’s collections season after season, might mean we’ll need to purchase extra luggage on our return.

Christian Louboutin’s summer pop-up store is inspired by the island of Mykonos’ famous holidaymakers, with interiors mirroring the maison’s signature whilst exuding a party twist.

After the success of its Athens boutique, Oscar de al Renta has opened a pop-up in Mykonos until mid-October, with a limited edition capsule collection of tunics, kaftans, palazzo pants, swimwear and towel ponchos inspired by the chic Greek beach town.

Boasting a white façade evoking traditional architecture of the Cycladic islands of Greece, Dior’s summer pop-up carries exclusive ‘J’Adior Mykonos’ pieces designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, from knitted bodysuits to the embroidered tote of the season.
