World of Fashion 2020: Day One Highlights
Everything you missed from the first day of the festivities at Mall of The Emirates
World of Fashion 2020 is officially in full swing!
The festivities commenced on Tuesday, October 13, in partnership with Mall of the Emirates, with a private tour for VIPs of the World of Fashion atrium at 12:00, as guests experienced the breath-taking Swarovski art installation by Zainab Al Hashemi in person, while also taking a closer look at the stunning window display, featuring key pieces from A/W 2020 (and handpicked by the Bazaar team).
Towards the end of the day, guests continued to explore the space which featured a living mural by Charlotte Tilbury, make-up station and delicious delights by Ladurée.
At 19:00 guests took their seats to watch an exclusive screening of short fashion film A Night At The Mall, starring Layla Kardan, Amal Murad, Alia Al Neyadi, Nadya Hassan and Joyce Amil, and directed by Emirati filmmaker Thabit Al Mawaly – but not before Bazaar editor in chief Olivia Phillips took to the stage to share just how excited she was for all the upcoming events, masterclasses and interviews.
After the live Q&A with the cast of A Night At The Mall, the crowd was serenaded by Layla Kardan as she performed her new single live, ‘You.’
All in all, it was a night to remember.
