La Perla Commits To Supplying Face Masks To Bologna Amidst Shortage

La Perla joins in on the efforts to fight the novel coronavirus and support local Italian communities by contributing essential equipment to front line healthcare workers and high-risk individuals.

This Italian luxury lingerie brand is the latest fashion house to support the healthcare system by supplying 10,000 masks to the municipality of Bologna directly from Hong Kong. The brand also has plans to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers and is working with local authorities to see supplies fairly distributed.

"La Perla is committed, in coordination with the local authorities, to guarantee its support to the city of Bologna and Emilia-Romagna Region,” La Perla CEO Pascal Perrier said.

He also noted La Perla will continue to support and supply equipment “for as long as it is necessary to face this crisis.”

According to La Perla, the masks have arrived from Honk Kong and were immediately passed along to the Municipality of Bologna for distribution, prioritizing high risk individuals and care home workers.
