
Lauren Hutton Stars In The Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2017 Campaign

The year of celebrations continues for Bottega Veneta, with the Italian brand marking its 50th year anniversary and subsequently creative director Tomas Maier observing 15 years at the helm. So it comes as no surprise that for their Spring advertising campaign they would want to go big too. Cue 73-year-old model Lauren Hutton’s glorious return.

After walking the runway back in September with Gigi Hadid, a moment that went down in everyones Milan highlights Hutton is back to steal the show in Bottega Veneta’s Spring/Summer 2017 advertising campaign too. Featuring supermodel Joan Smalls, Vittoria Ceretti, Hannes Gobeyn and Morten Nielsen the idea of iconic beauty is transported straight from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera runway with Hutton infusing the images with a sense of timelessness. The collection of pieces in vibrant tones in contrasting superfine fabrics and luxurious leathers, once again brings to life the special collection of bags showcased on the runway.
Joan Smalls In The Spring/Summer 2017 Campaign
Renowned for his work shooting homes in suburban America, Todd Hido was chosen to join the leagues of other famous photographers for The Art of Collaboration. Started by Maier back in 2001 when he first joined the brand, the concept see’s visual artists contribute to the full creation of Bottega Veneta’s campaigns and not just simply shoot them. “I am a great admirer of Todd’s work, his images speak quietly yet extremely suggestively in a subtle way and his use of light and colour creates moods that are unique. We have a similar approach and sensibility, I like his sense of delicacy and intuition,” said Maier.
