Loewe Opens A Second Store In Dubai Mall – And It’s Absolutely Gorgeous

The Spanish luxury brand, best known for its exquisite craftsmanship, has opened another retail concept next door to the original shop

You can never have too much of a good thing – and there is certainly no exception to the rule when it comes to browsing through one of your favourite shops…

Due to the success of its first store, Loewe has expanded its presence at the Dubai Mall by opening a second 216 square metre shop next to its existing store. The new retail concept will house the Spanish luxury brand’s women’s ready to wear collection, while the old store will showcase the brand’s menswear line – the first in the region to be entirely dedicated to the gentlemen in our lives.

As one would expect, craftsmanship and sleek style extend from the collection pieces to the entire retail concept, as both the walls and floors have been made from high-quality materials like Campaspero limestone, complimenting the overall vibe of the mall with its concrete-effect façade, large glass welcome and a wall of ceramics.

Contemporary furniture designs also inhabit the space, so guests can relax for a moment or two in between perusing the racks, including Utrecht recliners by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld, Tekio Vertical lamps designed by Anthony Dickens from Santa & Cole and natural jute rugs by Nanimarquina.

With art playing a central role in the design of the new retail store exhibited works will be on display by featured artists who have a long-standing relationship with the brand. This includes Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2019 finalist, Japanese weaver and sculptor Kazuhito Takadoi, whose work is characterized by intricate forms sculpted from delicate natural materials. Kazuhito’s work will be showcased along with artist Hylton Nel’s Things With Eyes: a set of 10 enameled ceramic plates.

In honour of the new store’s opening – the third in the region after the Fashion Avenue in The Dubai Mall in 2018 and Mall of the Emirates in 2020 – the brand has released a new LOEWE Flamenco clutch bag adorned with ceramics by Takuro Kuwata, which will be available for purchase at the store.
