Middle Eastern Influencer Lana El Sahely Is Set To Walk The Dolce & Gabbana A/W17 Show

Millennials are set to rule the runway yet again for Dolce & Gabbana’s Women’s A/W17 show, following the Men’s collection which was held back in January in Milan. What’s even more exciting is the news of Middle Eastern influencer and fashion entrepreuner, Lana El Sahely having been chosen to represent the region as part of the shows line up. Ahead of the unveiling of this year’s Bazaar’s Best Dressed 2017 list on March 1, we can also disclose that the 27-year-old will be featured among the most stylish women in the region.
Clearly catching the eyes of the fashion world globally, Sahely currently splits her time between Beirut and Douala in Cameroon where her husband is currently based, working on her blog larmoiredelana.com. Frequently visiting both Dubai and Paris on business trips, Sahely has been working on her platform for almost seven years and was considered one of the first Lebanese bloggers just as the social media boom was at its start. “I went from the non-existence of Instagram to the booming of Snapchat. This made me grow in a different way, I learnt how important it is to adapt to changes” explained Sahely.
Now with 169k followers watching her every stylish move on Instagram, Sahely understands the importance of keeping up to date with ever the ever changing fashion scene – just as Dolce & Gabbana have with their Millennial filled shows this year. “I launched my blog due to my love for writing. On social media, things have evolved very differently now as it’s more important to focus on visuals and being active on platforms like Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat which I actually love because I get to interact with my readers through discussions in Arabic and more.”
