Miss Universe Canada Closes The Michael Cinco Show At Arab Fashion Week
The model stopped over in Dubai for a quick runway show before picking up her Michael Cinco dress for the Miss Universe competition
Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco is no stranger to a pageant queen wearing his gowns whilst competing for the crown. Earlier this month, Miss Philippines Ahtisa Manalo, who finished as 1st Runner-Up in the Miss International 2018 pageant, chose a beaded blush pink gown with crystal and feather details by Michael Cinco couture for her appearance on stage.
And now, Polish/Canadian model Marta Magdalena Stepien has touched down in Dubai, on her way to Bangkok, to pick up her Michael Cinco dress that she will wear on stage whilst competing for the title of Miss Universe – but not before closing the Filipino designer’s latest show at Arab Fashion Week.
The biomedical-engineering-student-turned-pageant-queen surprised fans as she stepped onto the Arab Fashion Week catwalk, hand-in-hand with Michael Cinco himself, clad in a red beaded couture number, and closed the show.
The Miss Canada winner also stopped by Michael Cinco’s atelier in d3, where she had a fitting for her couture gown that she will wear on stage in Thailand next week during the Miss Universe contest.
“I think she is probably one of the most stunning contenders for Miss Universe this year,” the designer writes on social media. “Marta is probably one of the strongest contenders to win the crown this year.”
The Miss Universe competition is taking place on December 16.
