Miu Miu Heads To The Beach For S/S17

We’re all about the 40s vibes

If the dreary weather wasn’t inspiring you to hit the beach, then Italian fashion brand Miu Miu’s latest campaign definitely will. Featuring a whole host of fresh-faced beauties from actress Elle Fanning to model of the moment Carolyn Murphy, Karen Elson, Lara Stone and many more including a little dachshund the group are filmed frolicking about by the seaside.

Taking note from the collection which sees silhouettes and colour palettes drawn from the 1940s the film was directed by British photographer Alasdair McLellan. In his third collaboration with the brand, McLellan masterfully blends vintage vibes with modern principles, creating so much more than just your average campaign. With jazzy beats and an English gentleman’s voice talking through the scenes as if it were a news segment reminiscent of the period, you are fully immersed back in time.

Style by Katie Grand, there is a whole host of must-have accessories from floral covered swim hats and sandals to sparkling jewels and the brands latest bag designs on show. Partnered with what is fast becoming the must-have swimwear of the season and ready-to-wear pieces, the patterns and colours match the undoubtedly retro silhouettes.
