The V&A To Host Peter Pilotto Retrospective
The womenswear label is to host four retrospective fashion shows at the museum later this month
Peter Pilotto will showcase a retrospective at the V&A in London as part of the gallery’s ongoing Fashion in Motion series, with four free catwalk shows presenting highlights from the luxury womenswear label’s archive to the public on November 20.
A regular on the London Fashion Week schedule, Peter Pilotto has gone from strength to strength since the brand was founded in 2007. A firm favourite of A-listers such as Kate Bosworth, Emma Roberts and Naomie Harris, the label is highly regarded within the fashion industry and has been recognised with numerous accolades, including the Swarovski Emerging Talent award, the Fashion Forward Prize, the BFC Fashion Fund and the inaugural Swarovski Collective Award.
“The Victoria and Albert Museum has played host to a number of talented designers and we are honoured to be holding a show there”, commented Christopher de Vos, one half of the design duo behind the brand. “Art and artefacts are such a source of inspiration to us that it seems fitting to be showcasing a retrospective of the brand amid such incredible history,” added Peter Pilotto.
Fashion in Motion is a project that brings catwalk shows by leading international designers to one of London’s most treasured museums. Past subjects have included Ashish, Alexander McQueen, Missoni and Jean Paul Gaultier. The Peter Pilotto catwalk shows will take place on Friday November 20 at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm and 8pm.
