Purificacion Garcia Joins Forces With Nora Al Shaikh To Create A Unique Abaya Collection

The collaboration comes as an extension of continued efforts by Purificacion Garcia to support and nurture regional creative talents across various disciplines

Purificacion Garcia has announced an exclusive regional collaboration with Saudi designer Nora Al Shaikh, creating a curated abaya collection for the Middle East.

Nora Al Sheikh joins the brand’s growing community of artists with this collaboration, having been handpicked for her exquisite designs which fuse Saudi heritage with an international flair. The collection includes unique designs inspired by three different bags; the Mi Primera Cita, Homenaje Acolchado and 360º.

The collection, which amplifies the elegance of these unique garments, has been crafted from free-flowing fabrics; embroidery and sequin detailing offer an element of easy-to-wear glamour.

The 360º Bag Inspired Abaya Design

Based on a classic shopping format the brand gave the 360 bag a twist and created a new avant-garde, minimal design based on Purificacion Garcia’s DNA. 

The pattern stands out due to the difficulty of joining three pieces that revolve around the bag and are intertwined with one and other. This played an important role in Nora’s inspiration to create the satin mate Abaya incorporating the technique onto the garment by adding two different colours to the designs: toffee and black.

The Homenaje Acolchado Inspired Abaya Design

Made by Puriricacion Garcia’s iconic Napa leather, the designer was inspired by a black crystal embellished Homenaje Acolchado clutch. Influenced by the elegance and sophistication of the bag, the Abaya design features masterfully embroidered tulle detailing on the sleeves in the same colour. Using a light and soft satin mate fabric, making the outfit perfect for any occasion.

The Mi Primera Cita Inspired Abaya Design

Finally, the Mi Primera Cita bag is considered a classic at Purificacion Garcia. Here the brand introduces an updated design, made in a more structured quinoa leather. Featuring the iconic cube on the flap in addition to a chain and leather strap, which can be adjusted to your preferred length, the exterior herringbone pattern of the bag inspired Nora to create the Abaya design.

This exclusive collection truly brings out the finest in a woman, making her look and feel empowered when sporting any piece from the collection.
