Reemami And Okhtein Launch On Farfetch

The Middle Eastern brands are available to purchase on the global e-commerce site from today

The Middle Eastern fashion industry is consistently taking leaps and bounds when it comes to furthering its presence on the international stage. Many regional designers have found support globally for their brands, and the calibre of designers (and subsequently, their designs) is testament to the talent present in the region. 

Today, Farfetch, who recently had Natalie Massenet come on board as co-chariman, is launching the collections of Reemami and Okhtein exclusively on site for the first time. The site has a history of promoting Middle Eastern designers and boutiques as Etoile “La boutique”, The cARTel, and Urbanist – The Kan from the UAE, Saudi Arabia’s Le Gray, Al Ostoura and 4 from Kuwait, and Plum in Lebanon are part of the site’s store offering. Stephanie Horton, the company’s chief marketing officer said of the launch, “At Farfetch we are committed to offering our customers the greatest selection of luxury from the very best designers and brands. We are delighted to count Reemami and Okhtein as the latest additions to the Farfetch network, giving them a global platform and providing our customers with exclusive access to their S/S17 collection.” 

Reema Al Banna of Reemami has designed an exclusive capsule for the site which is inspired by her love of climbing and features a poppy colour palette, hand illustrations and playful details, whilst Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf, the Egyptian sisters behind Okhtein, will make their debut with a collection entitled Nomadic Citizen that plays on influences from the East and West with bold metalwork detailing. 

The collections (which you can see in our gallery above) are available to shop on the site, as well as in Browns in London, Curve Boutique in the USA and Al Ostoura in Kuwait, from today.
