Rihanna Wore A Middle Eastern Designer At The 2016 MTV VMAs

As she was presented with the prestigious Vanguard Award at yesterday’s MTV VMAs (after a killer performance, we might add…) Rihanna made a strong sartorial statement in her oversized Alexandre Vauthier gown. Though that’s not what caught our eye. 

The Grammy Award-winning singer donned a pair of sparkly, 18-carat white gold and diamonds earrings by Yeprem Jewellery, which was founded in Beirut in 1964 by Armenian designer Yeprem Chakardemian.

Available at Bloomingdale’s – and Harvey Nichols – Dubai, this isn’t the first time the brand has been worn by the A-list. Jennifer Lopez, Margot Robbie, Madonna and Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima have all sported the brand’s statement pieces, and Ariana Grande also wore a pair of Yeprem earrings on the MTV red carpet. Oh, and Beyoncé wore a stack of the brand’s bracelets in her Formation video clip.
