S*uce Joins Forces With Dumyé For #27Dresses

The Dubai-based store and designer have collaborated in the most stylish of ways

Dubai-based doll designer Dumyé, who’s Dolls With Purpose bring joy to orphaned children across the Middle East and beyond, has teamed up with S*uce to create #27Dresses. The collection features 27 handmade dolls, each wearing a miniature version of a look by one of the boutique’s roster of designers; from Self-Portrait to Notte by Marchesa, and local designers such as Bleach, All Things Mochi and Rami Kadi. The partnership came about to support START, a non-profit organisation that runs art workshops for refugees, orphans and children with special needs across the Middle East and India.

The collection has created a fashionable stir in the region, with Dubai Tourism, the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall all getting behind the worthy cause, and has seen the dolls photographed all around town in a whole host of glamorous locations. Limited edition prints of these photos will be available for purchase on both S*uce and Dumyé online stores from March 20. Barbie, eat your heart out. 

The exhibition will be on at The Dubai Mall from March 20-April 3, after which the dolls will be auctioned on April 6 at a private, VIP party at the Burj Khalifa. – Maddison Glendinning and Louise Nichol
