Sheikha Amal Al Maktoum Introduces Azzalia’s New Resort Collection
Creative director and founder has unveiled six new pieces…
Azzalia is a luxury couture brand that specializes in “abayas, gowns, and evening-wear and ready-to-wear” pieces. Named after founder and creative director Sheikha Amal Al Maktoum’s two daughters, Azza and Alia, the brand promises to produce high quality designs using high – end fabrics and “the latest embroidery techniques and craft of tailoring.”
Just recently, Sheikha Amal finalised Azzalia’s latest collection which is filled with an array of bright summery colours that uplifts any atmosphere. Just when the pandemic polluted our spirits, Azzalia provided the colour in our lives that we were lacking. With versatile dresses that are unique to the Azzalia brand, Sheikha Amal proudly states that “these pieces are sure to be a stylish addition to your summer staples.”
From pure white to apple green, the Resort collection has something for everyone. Much of the dresses are drapey and loose with flora and fauna decorating them. Let’s take a glimpse at their new collection.
This first dress is a beautiful salmon pink with hints of dark red in-between the leafy pattern outlined in white. With a wrap-like shape, the dress cinches at the waist and opens up again at the hip accentuating the right areas.
A muted pastel green, this dress associates itself with more earthy tones and truly embodies nature. This wrap dress makes getting ready effortless but keeps the look put together and feminine with its puffy leaves.
This white maxi dress resembles a modern-day stola (a female version of the Roman toga). A sleeveless white dress with a v-neck cut that flows nicely to the floor, this dress is the definition of class.
Like the previous maxi dress, this white piece shares similar qualities though it has a more asymmetrical finish. The bottom of the dress is cut uneven making the dress appear shorter on one side than on the other. It ties around the neck making this dress a more casual version of the white max dress seen earlier.
This apple green dress is the perfect piece to wear to show off your sun – kissed skin. The bright shade makes it hard to stop staring and makes wearing jolly green possible.
Holding true to the brands opulent and exclusive reputation, the Resort 2021 collection completes the new line that was said to be released “in tandem.”
