Exclusive: Inside The Making Of Solange Knowles’ Python Print Perfection Met Gala Outfit
Her snakeskin is her logo
Putting her infamous drama-filled Met Gala appearance of 2014 firmly behind her, Solange Knowles stole the spotlight for all the right reasons this year wearing a custom Salvatore Ferragamo ensemble designed by creative director Paul Andrew.
The head-to-toe, show-stopping python outfit consisted of a form-fitting, masculine-cut bodysuit with long sleeves and dropped shoulders that the 32-year-old Almeda singer teamed with matching thigh-high ‘F wedge’ boots.

Dazzling rings, bracelets and a necklace all by Piaget, completed her look.
Later on in the evening, Queen B’s little sister even shared a photo of a real live python curled around her wrist and intertwined between her fingers – its skin cleverly coordinating with her incredible snakeskin embellished nails – with her 3.9 million Instagram followers.
Paul Andrew joined Salvatore Ferragamo in September 2016 as design director of women’s footwear, before being promoted to women’s director a year later.
His recent promotion to creative director of the Italian heritage brand in February 2019 was timely, allowing him to be a critical part of the brand’s first foray into dressing celebrities for the annual Met Gala.

In addition to Solange’s edgy aesthetic, Andrew also created custom looks for Elizabeth Debicki, Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart and French actress Pom Klementieff.
