Tommy Hilfiger is taking Fashion Week’s love affair with Instagram to the next level. The fashion house announced it will be implementing the first-ever “InstaPit” at its A/W16 show during New York Fashion Week. Since Instagram has undeniably become one of the central focuses of Fashion Week (and many showgoers would likely give up their firstborns in exchange for the perfect runway ‘gram),the InstaPit will be an exclusive space for Instagrammers to capture the collection as it walks down the catwalk — without obstructing the view of everyone sitting behind them.

This isn’t the first time Tommy Hilfiger has conceptualised a catwalk show with Instagram in mind — for its autumn/winter 2014 collection, the house debuted the “InstaMeet,” where 20 Instagram influencers were invited to join Mr. Hilfiger on show day to capture the environment behind the scenes. And just last season, Hilfiger’s catwalk finale featured a pack of models led by Gigi Hadid frolicking through a water lagoon, making for one of the biggest Instagram moments at NYFW. – Via Harper’s Bazaar US
