The UAE-based designer’s spring/summer 2017 collection is available on the British retailer’s website

Luxury British department store Harvey Nichols is the latest fashion retailer to snap up Madiyah Al Sharqi. The daughter of the ruler of Fujairah’s spring/summer 2017 collection, which is inspired by nature, is now available on www.harveynichols.com. The UAE-based brand counts the likes of Nicole Richie, Alessandra Ambrosio, Sofia Vergara, Kris Jenner, and Karolina Kurkova as fans.

Al Sharqi, who was also a finalist at the Woolmark Prize in 2013, is known for her delicate design vision and her use of lavishly embroidered fabrics. “The collection focused on the idea of curves and circular figures inspired by nature like the fluidity of waves, ripples in the desert sand, and the shape of the setting sun against the horizon,” says Al Sharqi of her spring/summer range.
