And Just Like That… spared no expense when it comes to style. Having earned a staunch reputation for being one of the most fashion-forward shows to date, the SATC series continues to wow by way of dress.

Looking back, the climatic scenes of the first SATC seasons were always punctuated with standout style. (How can we forget the pink Oscar de la Renta dress Bradshaw wore to McDonald’s?) Sartorially pioneering the way for Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda was none other than Patricia Field. Under Field’s rule, the show accumulated a trademarked formula of repurposing vintage looks alongside one-of-a-kind designer pieces, earning her awards along the way, including an Emmy. Fast forward to today, Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones, told USA Today it was Field who picked out her And Just Like That… look. When news leaked that Cattrall would be making a cameo in the last episode, fans rejoiced.

The fashion torch has since been passed to co-costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago for And Just Like That… In total, $3 million (11,021,267 Dhs) of clothing and accessories were borrowed to shoot the series. In the most recent episodes, the fashions hold a leading role–even bringing back a few favorites including a certain Vivian Westwood gown circa 2008. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar US, both Rogers and Santiago agree, it’s an ‘all hands on deck’ feeling on set when putting the looks together. “We’ve got a huge team that works with us, of shoppers, coordinators, PAs, drivers. It’s a constant in-and-out of coming and going. Things coming from stores, from Europe, things that are being custom-made. So many things. And it’s every character we’re shopping for. And we have these huge scenes where they’re all in the same scene,” said Santiago. “I found someone in my department to track how much clothing we were borrowing in dollar amounts, and the last total I saw was $3 million,” reported Rogers who previously worked on every season of SATC.

While the famed style moments of And Just Like That… are still being revealed as each episode airs, one thing is for certain, Carrie’s mainstays will remain. Where would Bradshaw be without her beloved gold necklace and her ever-present Choos? Lucky for us, we won’t have to find out.

And Just Like That… airs weekly on Thursdays on Max (formerly HBO Max).
