American designer and founder of Milan-based luxury label Off-White Virgil Abloh’s influence on the fashion industry is not to be taken lightly. After the launch of his first collection for Louis Vuitton in 2018, everyone in the industry bowed to the creative genius Virgil encapsulated.
His passing on November 28, 2021 shocked the fashion world to it’s core. A legacy of a lifetime, his craft is being celebrated even till today.
In honour of the designer and entrepreneur, Louis Vuitton launched a book dedicated to Virgil, his relationship with Louis Vuitton and how it has impacted the fashion industry as a whole. Author Anders Christian Madsen, his close collaborator, describes how the appointment of Virgil as Men’s Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton marked the beginning of a different era for the French luxury house.
Each chapter will be devoted to one of the eight collections Virgil designed for the brand. Over 320 images visualise his life’s work, family and friends, and of course also his love for sneakers.

The book is available on the Louis Vuitton website as well as in select stores across the UAE. The limited-edition “Ultimate Collection” book which is packaged in a special box and differentiated by a black spine, is priced at Dhs4,400.
