Just last week, Christopher Kane unveiled his highly anticipated Resort 2024 collection, showcasing impeccably tailored and structured pieces infused with a touch of dramatic flair. However, amidst the excitement surrounding the collection, rumours have emerged in the fashion media sphere suggesting that the much-loved designer is on the brink of shutting down all operations.

Christopher Kane, renowned for his intricate and flawlessly crafted designs, made a name for himself in the fast-paced world of fashion. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, the popular creative embarked on his fashion journey in 2006, establishing his eponymous label alongside his sister, Tammy. Additionally, he ventured into a side label called “More Joy,” which focused on producing predominantly linen-based essentials. This secondary venture proved to be a lifeline for Kane, as it generated profits during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, sustaining both of his businesses.

In 2013, Kering acquired a majority stake in the company, only to sell it back to Kane in 2018. However, according to Hypebeast, the label now finds itself navigating treacherous waters, having filed its intention to appoint insolvency experts from FTS Recovery as administrators. This decision has been made as a last resort and comes after thorough deliberation among the key board members.

However the brand has not publicly released any official statement on its current situation.
