2023’s edition of Joy Awards in Riyadh saw artists from different disciplines coming together to honour creative accomplishments in the region.
It is highly important for attendees to look their best on a carpet as prestigious as the Joy Awards. Strutting the lavender carpet to commemorate Arab entertainment’s successes over the past year were celebrated actors, sportspeople, influencers, and other artists.
These powerful personalities showed their support for the arts adorned in beautiful ensembles, some of which were designed by prominent couturiers such as Ali Karoui, Elie Saab, Jean-Louis Sabaji, and others.

Georgina Rodríguez
The Spanish model and partner of footballer Cristiano Ronaldo stunned in a slinky gown by frequent collaborator Ali Karoui. The deep blue gown featured a thigh-high slit and the social media influencer paired it with a mesh headpiece that she covered her head with. The star was decked in diamond jewellery by Saudi Arabia-based Kooheji Jewellery and glammed up in makeup by Sergio Antón.
Mila Al Zahrani
Riyadh-born actress Mila Al Zahrani styled herself in a sublime La’Beso Mocking Bird dress that consisted of a velvet bodice, elbow-length gloves, and intricate lace work on the waist and the skirt. The Boucheron ambassador accompanied her all-black ensemble with glittering jewellery from the Maison’s Serpent Bohème collection that sparkled brightly against the black velvet piece.
Rym Saidi
Wearing a high-necked Jean-Louis Sabaji dress in black studded with baguette crystals was Tunisian model and actress Rym Saidi. The stunning backless piece is a part of the Maison’s 2023 RTW Pre-Fall collection that the sultry model wore along with Tiffany & Co. Earrings. She was styled by celeb-favourite Cedric Haddad and appeared on the lavender carpet with her husband Wissam Breidy.
Nancy Ajram
Beloved Lebanese singer and television personality Nancy Ajram was decked from top to bottom in a glittering gold number by bridal couturier Elie Saab. The “Queen of Arab Pop” dazzled on the carpet in Gemayel Jewelry’s diamond chandelier earrings and ring and accompanied her look with bronzy, soft glam by makeup artist Fady Kataya.
Hend Sabri
Making a sustainable fashion choice was Arab actress and producer Hend Sabri who re-wore her favourite Alexander McQueen gown in Navy Blue. The elegant piece consists of intricate stone work on the sleeves and gather detailing on the arms. The Tunisian-Egyptian actress completed her look with stunning jewellery from Cartier, simple waves, and elegant makeup by Charbel Assaf.
Dalia Mubarak
Dressed in a beautiful rose gold gown representing feminine power, Saudi Arabian singer Dalia Mubarak took our breaths away in a Mirna Jawhari Fall Winter 2022/23 piece from the ”Lyv the Soul” collection. The contemporary musician paired the embellished gown with dainty jewellery from Beirut-based Nsouli Jewelry and rosy glam by Fatimah Aldossry. The artist was styled by Say Yes to the Dress Arabia‘s Khalil Zein.
Sumaya Rida
Saudi Arabian actress Sumaya Rida was a vision in black at the Joy Awards wearing a daring sheer Tima Abid piece from the Maison’s SS20 Couture collection. The netted dress featured exquisite embellishments around the collar and hem and patchwork around the waist and hip. Sumaya accompanied the ensemble with Jimmy Choo accessories with bow detailing in contrasting red that elevated her Morticia Addams-esque look.
