Lebanese Designer Rami Kadi Unveils Revolutionary UV-Activated Ensemble
The regional fashion designer created this masterpiece for Lebanese A-lister Alice Abdel Aziz for her gender reveal party
Avant-garde fashion designer Rami Kadi took to Instagram to reveal his latest innovation specially designed for Lebanese Entrepreneur Alice Abdel Aziz for her gender reveal party.
The two-piece set features an off-the-shoulder long blouse over a short straight skirt, decorated with dazzling embroidery and embellishments. UV-sensitive threads are meticulously woven into the fabric creating a stunning transformation once the dress is exposed to sunlight or UV rays.
And just like that, Alice’s dress astonishingly transitions from a neutral white colour to a light pink hue in sunlight, dramatically revealing her baby’s gender to be a girl, as seen in the video below.
This is not the first time that Rami has proved his commitment towards evolving with technological progress while following a sustainable practice. In 2020, the Maison introduced the Middle East’s first environmentally conscious cyber fashion show and in 2022, the luxury brand released their first NFT collection.
