The world-famous Japanese fashion designer, Issey Miyake, has passed away at age 84. Known for his innovative designs, the creative meshed together fashion and technology seamlessly in his work. According to Reuters, Issey Miyake was privately battling hepatocellular carcinoma, a rare form of cancer.
Issey Miyake’s perfume, L’Eau D’Issey, is one of the most beloved fragrances released. The designer’s impact in fashion is immense, and his work is displayed at The National Center of Art in Tokyo. He is known for also reinventing the 80s Fortuny pleat.
