London Fashion Week: Bahraini Label Noon By Noor Pays Homage To Fashion Icons In New Collection

Cousins, Sheikha Noor and Sheikha Haya presented their designs for their Fall Winter 2024 collection on February 16

Bahraini designers Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa showcased their A/W 2024 collection during the opening day of London Fashion Week.

The duo’s latest collection, titled Winter Solstice, presented at London’s Somerset House, features grey, olive, beige, and red tones, with re-imagined trench coats and outerwear as well as matching hats.

The brand started by cousins Shaikha Noor and Shaikha Haya, is known for its classic silhouettes, use of natural fabrics and masculine cuts.

For their latest collection, the designers drew inspiration from the personal style and work of iconic names in fashion such as Isabella Blow, Anna Piaggi, Diana Vreeland, Lucinda Chambers, and Amanda Harlech. They described the pieces as having a blend of eclectic elements.

They also incorporated the “essence of nature” in their work, as country tweeds were used to create “soft, light, and easy” pieces.

Having craftsmanship in the foreground of the work, corsets were artfully combined with utilitarian regalia. According to a social media post by the brand about the Fall Winter 2024 collection, “clashing proportions, meticulous attention to detail, and daring colour combinations pay homage to the visionary women who have influenced the fashion industry”.

The Noon By Noor luxury womenswear brand was established in 2008, and since then, they’ve had their work be a part of London Fashion Week previously as well as New York Fashion Week.
