Loro Piana’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Collection Features An Entirely New Fabric
This season, the maison introduced Royal Lightness, a yarn so unique it required two years of extensive research to produce
True luxury is about sensation: the weight of a perfectly tailored coat, the softness of silk spun to impossible thinness, the way a garment moves with the body rather than against it. For Fall/Winter 2025-2026, Loro Piana follows this philosophy to a tee.
This season’s collection captures that quiet refinement through fluid silhouettes, immersive textures, and an earthy, nature-inspired palette. The journey begins in Argentina, passes through the Scottish Highlands, and ends in Australia and New Zealand, where Merino wool, one of the house’s most prized materials is sourced. That sense of movement and connection to nature translates into the sweeping skirts, structured yet effortless riding jackets, and the distinctive Argentinian-inspired pantskirt.

Texture has a big part in the pieces, with bouclé fabrics, silk, and cashmere creating a wardrobe designed to be experienced rather than simply admired. Earthy hues—dark brandy, tundra soil, vicuña, deep oak—are prominent throughout the collection, while touches of creamy vanilla and navy blue add contrast. The iconic Spagna jacket returns in cropped and knee-length variations. Knitwear, something the label is known for, is sumptuous yet featherlight.
It’s eveningwear pieces also mimics the same elevated approach, with Silk Satin, jacquard silk, and Charmeuse seen throughout the collection. As for accessories, riding boots, jewellery in enamel, leather and metal, and wide-brimmed hats complete the look.

But the true star of the season is Royal Lightness, a new fabric that Loro Piana has spent two years perfecting. A blend of ultra-fine Merino wool and Mulberry silk, it offers an almost weightless feel, a luminous sheen, and a tactile experience unlike anything else. Developed through ancient artisanal techniques, garments made from Royal Lightness balance structure with fluidity.
While the women’s collection is rooted in softness and movement, its menswear pieces mirror this motto through relaxed tailoring and refined practicality. Loose tailored trousers are tucked into boots, the Spagna jacket transforms into a short cape, and quilted hunting jackets perfect for an outdoor adventure. Eveningwear maintains a low-key grandeur, with a barathea smoking suit and quilted silk Spagna jacket.
A proponent for the wave of subtle elegance, this season, the house reminds us that true luxury is something you feel, not just something you wear.
