LVMH Will Be The Premium Partner Of The Paris 2024 Olympic And Paralympic Games
The luxury conglomerate is taking a significant step into the world of sports
The Olympic Games are eagerly anticipated to begin in Paris in 2024. And the news has come that renowned luxury conglomerate, LVMH, is taking a significant step into the world of sports by becoming the premium partner for the events.
LVMH, a multinational holding and luxury conglomerate headquartered in France, serves as the parent company to over 70+ prestigious luxury brands, including Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Co, and Christian Dior, among many others. With a staggering valuation of 434.67 billion in 2023, the company holds an impressive and extensive portfolio.
Adding to their already remarkable list of ventures, LVMH will now proudly sponsor the prestigious Olympic and Paralympic Games. According to the Financial Times, this last-minute deal, estimated to be worth around 150 million euros, will be crucial in helping the organizers bridge the financial gap for the Games.
LVMH has shown a strong presence in the sports industry before, as earlier this year, Louis Vuitton backed the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, and Christian Dior designed formal wear for the Paris Saint Germain Players. In preparation for the Olympic Games 2024, LVMH has made additional moves, with the acquisition of the jewellery brand Chaumet, which will be responsible for crafting the medals for the Games. Sephora, LVMH’s beauty partner, will organise the Olympic torch relay, while the esteemed champagne label Moët Hennessy will oversee the hospitality procedures.
