Naomi Campbell Will Soon Have Her Own Exhibition At The V&A
A true visual story of the supermodel’s career, told through her personal wardrobe
Naomi Campbell is set to launch a fashion exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, a first of its kind.
Walking past vibrant displays of outfits and accessories, visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of the supermodel’s wardrobe, a collection of clothing documenting her illustrious 40-year career both on and off the catwalk.
Naomi announced the exciting news on her Instagram, revealing that NAOMI: In Fashion would be coming to the museum this June 2024.
The exhibition looks back at Naomi’s most prominent fits, from Versace’s pop-art Marilyn Monroe dress from 1991 to the 12-inch Vivienne Westwood heels that caused her famous catwalk tumble in 1993.
With support from BOSS, the exhibition would also feature designer works from Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier, and many more.
A story told through clothes the exhibition will follow Naomi’s life, starting from her rise to fame as she entered the world of modelling (with a special focus on her relationship with late Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaïa) and ending on a note about her activism and cultural impact.
The exhibition will run from June 22, 2024 to April 6, 2025.
