Omarieden: The Department Store Redefining Retail in Saudi Arabia

A new department store will redefine shopping in Saudi Arabia with a curated edit that epitomises understated luxury

If the typical drop-everything-now approach that floods shop floors each season leaves you overwhelmed and skimming past rails instead of perusing an edit specifically curated for you, you are not alone. That is why the shopping experience at Omarieden – set to debut this November in Al Khobar, before further openings in Riyadh, AlUla and the Red Sea – will redefine how the discerning shop in The Kingdom.

Prioritising experiences, the boutique sits within the Al Tamimi Group portfolio, with an emphasis on ensuring every aspect of the shopping journey resonates with Saudi clientele. Labels are carefully chosen with a mix of both international and regional names; think prints from Pierre-Louis Mascia, sitting alongside James Perse’s clean cuts, as well as Budapest-founded Nanushka’s soft tailoring.

Ready-to-wear stretches from St. Agni’s minimal pieces and Posse’s breezy linen staples to Altuzarra’s structured ensembles, plus Jil Sander, CŌ. from LA, and Saint Art. Knitwear is handled by Soft Goat’s cashmere essentials, whereas after-dark style is covered by De La Vali’s dresses and Lapointe’s glamorous eveningwear, and for the perfect swimsuit, Hunza G.

Jewellery and accessories are also under the spotlight with Hirotaka’s sleek fine pieces, Lié Studio’s sculptural metal accents, and Missoma’s everyday demi-fine creations. Bags and shoes to complete the look come through Neous and Staud with their signature beaded colour-forward pieces, while footwear is taken care of by Duke + Dexter, specialising in British classics, and Doucal’s Italian craftsmanship. The brands are diverse but the edit is sharp, so one never feels inundated.

You’ll feel like you are part of perk-filled private members club, thanks to invite-only previews, pre-registration that gets you insider status, a loyalty programme and a slick website for quick purchasing. This is not just a shopping stop, its an immersive destination – though you’re guaranteed to leave with pieces you covet as an added bonus.
