Paco Rabanne Rebrands Its Name To Rabanne

The iconic house makes this rebranding decision on its big 60th anniversary

This is the beginning of a new era. Luxurious top-end labels have sought the path of name-shorting as a way to embrace a new, fresher appearance. Paco Rabanne has joined this movement by rebranding and name shortening and becoming Rabanne.

This new move was launched on the eve of the brand’s big 60th anniversary. The loved fashion label has successfully managed to preserve the Maison’s heritage, which is showcased in the new logo and visual identity.

The rebranding with regards to typography has received inspiration from Paco Rabanne’s first fragrance, Calandre, which launched in 1969. On route to embracing new trends, the visual identity of the rebranding has taken a minimal approach with “smooth sillettoutes and monogram signalling.” The brand’s logo will also follow the same ideology by showcasing small and dainty lettering.

With the end of Paco Rabanne and the birth of Rabanne, the Maison will also witness the launch of its makeup line.
