The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, one of the four horsemen of entertainment awards, went live this morning and there was no shortage of history-charting moments.

Recognising the best of the best in the world of storytelling for television, the ceremony is not just a space to honour creative talent but also for celebrities to bring their red carpet fashion A-game.

This year has been no different. The stars – winners, nominees and attendees – have descended upon the coveted carpet in jaw-dropping looks brought to life by the crème de la crème of fashion. From Valentino to Louis Vuitton and Elie Saab to Versace, the style is definitely something to watch. Bazaar Arabia shares some the most memorable looks from the ceremony here…

Zendaya

The woman of the moment and undisputed fashion queen of the red carpet served once again, donning a gorgeous black Valentino gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline and a full, dramatic skirt. The actress, who took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series for a second time for her role in Euphoria, finished the ensemble with jewels from Bulgari. A winner’s look indeed.

Jung Ho-yeon

The South Korean model and breakout star of 2021’s television obsession Squid Game wore a colourful dress by Louis Vuitton, complete with a thigh-high slit and sequined embellishment in pastel shades of peach, lavender and green on black. The first-time nominee completed the look with a hairpin.

Quinta Brunson

The actress and comedienne, who bagged her first ever Emmy for Outstanding Writing In A Comedy Series for Abbott Elementary, wore custom Dolce & Gabbana. Quinta stunned in the strapless gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and a glamorous gilded bodice, completing the look with sheer gloves and jewels by Jared Lehr.

Lizzo

Lizzo joined the club of winners with a shiny trophy for her show Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, an Amazon series about her search for backup dancers, wearing a red tulle dress by Giambattista Valli. The gown was all drama, featuring layers upon layers of scarlet fabric in big sleeves and a bigger train.

Sandra Oh

The Emmy nominee, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series for Killing Eve, chose a funky, deep purple ensemble by Rodarte, ditching the dress and opting for an embellished pantsuit with sequins galore. A silk satin blouse with a daring neckline completed the actress’ look.

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda looked like a vision in a shimmery blush pink figure-hugging number by Giorgio Armani. The actress paired the column gown with diamond earrings by Cartier and pulled her hair back in a sleek, elegant low bun.

Kerry Washington

The Scandal actress strutted down the red carpet in Elie Saab, wearing a white strapless minidress with a long train and ruffle detailing. Styled by none other than Law Roach, Kerry completed the look with killer black pumps by Christian Louboutin and delicate jewellery by Bulgari.

Sydney Sweeney

Nominated for both Euphoria and White Lotus, Sydney wore a custom Oscar de la Renta creation. The backless gown featured deep scoop neck, a bustle train and metal embroidery work on grey fabric. Let’s just say, grey couldn’t have been done better.

Lily James

Lily walked the Emmys red carpet for her latest release, Pam & Tommy, and looked like a golden goddess in a custom bronze-copper gown with a thigh-high slit by Versace. She completed the look with a smoky bronzed makeup look, sleek hair and diamonds by De Beers.

Elle Fanning

Elle brought all the old Hollywood glamour to the red carpet in her figure-hugging black strapless dress with pink accents. The young actress looked every bit a retro fashionista with her bold winged liner, vintage hairstyle and minimal jewellery by Neil Lane Couture. The dress was created by Sharon Long, costume designer for Elle’s ongoing series The Great.

Hannah Waddingham

The British actress and Ted Lasso star wore custom Dolce & Gabbana and gave major princess vibes in the the stunning peach-pink dress featuring a corset-style bodice, a sweetheart neckline and a full tulle skirt reminiscent of a ball gown. She completed the look with Bulgari jewellery from the Serpenti Collection and crystal embellished lace-up sneakers.
