In another testament to The Kingdom’s flourishing fashion industry, Saudi Arabia is getting a brand-new Fashion Week.
The inaugural Red Sea Fashion Week will take place from Thursday, May 16 to Saturday May, 18 2024, at the St Regis Red Sea Resort.
Organised by the Saudi Fashion Commission, the Red Sea Fashion Week will not only spotlight selected participants from season three of the Saudi 100 Brands programme, but also a host of international brands.
Attendees can look forward to everything from tantalizing ready-to-wear pieces to chic resort collections.
More than just a runway showcase, Red Sea Fashion Week seeks to pay homage to the Kingdom’s growing pool of local talent, and cement their spot as an influential force in the global fashion sphere.
Red Sea Fashion Week vs Riyadh Fashion Week: How Are They Different?
The event comes off the back of the highly-successful Riyadh Fashion Week, which debuted last year at the King Abdullah Financial District, and will return this October for its second edition. Featuring an array of established regional designers and a star-studded roster of glamorous attendees, Riyadh Fashion Week differs to it Red Sea counterpart in a few notable ways.
For starters, Red Sea Fashion Week will focus most prominently on resort wear, while Riyadh Fashion Week shined a major spotlight on avant-garde, couture creations, as well as women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections. The upcoming event will also showcase a fusion of being a luxury destination and an enthralling fashion exhibit.
