The fashion industry is gearing up for a momentous occasion: the inaugural Riyadh Fashion Week. This much-anticipated four-day event, hosted by the Saudi Fashion Commission, is set to unfold in all its grandeur, starting tonight amidst the notable backdrop of King Abdullah Financial District.
Riyadh Fashion Week has a noble purpose – to illuminate the vibrant tapestry of Saudi Arabia’s culture, as envisioned by local talents. Their artistic genius shines through an array of meticulously crafted creations, spanning across the spectrum of fashion: from opulent luxury wear to chic street styles and impeccable ready-to-wear collections.
Ashi Studio To Show at Riyadh Fashion Week
Tonight, Riyadh Fashion Week will commence with a fashion show by Ashi Studio.
Famed Saudi designer, Mohammed Ashi, has dressed a number of notable royals and celebrities, including Beyoncé, Deepika Padukone, Zendaya, Queen Rania and Cardi B, and was the first Saudi designer on the Paris Haute Couture Week calendar, having officially been accepted into the esteemed Federation de la Haute Couture.Â
“Mohammed Ashi has already made history as the first Saudi designer to join the ranks of haute couture. As a leader in Saudi fashion, we are incredibly honored to invite him back to Saudi during another historical moment in time – Riyadh Fashion Week,” Burak Çakmak, CEO of the Saudi Fashion Commission, said.
This will be followed by a gala dinner for esteemed VIP guests from the wider industry, firmly establishing Saudi Arabia’s fashion landscape on the international stage.
On the second day, all eyes will be on couture and bridal collections, promising an enchanting journey through the world of high fashion. The following days will be dedicated to showcasing the finest women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections. Renowned Saudi designers, including the likes of Abadia, Adnan Akbar, Tima Abid, Youssef Akbar, and Atelier Hekayat, will grace the runway with their inspired creations.
Amidst the breathtaking runway shows, a dedicated showroom will emerge, allowing buyers and media to intimately explore the distinctive collections of these exceptionally talented designers.
