Dior’s Caro bag was first spotting on the catwalk in Lecce, Puglia back in July, when the French maison unveiled its 2021 cruise collection, celebrating the artistic elements and craftsmanship of the region alongside its newest pieces. From the passion of dance to the power of ritual music, the digital presentation – which took place at behind the closed doors of Piazza del Duomo – was a celebration of the traditional arts of the region.
Created within the French maison’s ateliers in Italy, where the skillful designers and craftsmen combined their talents to produce a flap bag like no other, the Caro is both practical and stylish, the perfect everyday handbag for running errands or dressing up a crisp button-down shirt paired with jeans.
Recently, Dior recently unveiled a behind-the-scenes video that shares the intricate design process of how this new classic handbag comes to live, made with the love and magic of the Italian craftsman.
Currently available in two different sizes and in a number of different patterns and hues, 2021’s soon-to-be it-bag has been spotted on the arms of social media’s most discerning tastemakers including Karen Wazen, Yara Alnamlah and Nojoud Alrumaihi, to name a few.
