In the great words of Bette Midler, "I want it all - and I would like it delivered." As we head into further lockdown restrictions in the UAE, there's no shame in admitting that there's plenty of comfort to be found in fabulous things being delivered straight to our door; everything from a gourmet dinner courtesy of La Petite Maison (yes, even LPM has branched into meals-on-wheels now) to now another French favourite - Hermès.
As of Sunday 19 April, the Parisian maison will be offering a concierge service in Dubai (with no minimum spend and no delivery charge, it's worth noting), to spread joy via its synonymous orange boxes. It joins the service that has already been up-and-running in Bahrain and Kuwait.

The story hidden in every orange box. World War II was nearly over, wartime shortages were not. The box that defined Hermès elegance was no longer available: no gold-trimmed cream or beige anywhere. The only choice left? Orange, the color nobody wanted. Faced with that or nothing, the orange Hermès box was born. And with it a new symbol of elegance. The warm tone and grainy texture reflect the house’s leather heritage. Made vibrant with 1960s exuberance, our new look was complete. #iconicbyaccident #innovationinthemaking #evolutionoforange #OrangeBox #Hermes
Simply contact the landline on +971 4 818 1222 or WhatsApp on +971 4 818 1390 from Sunday to Thursday. We have our eye on everything from its newly launched lipstick line, Rouge Hermès, to fragrance (Rhubarbe Ecarlate is a consistent winner) and even its exceptional crockery (perhaps something to eat the aforementioned LPM takeout on...)
And of course, the maison's new-season bags and shoes are ready and waiting, too. Merci, Hermès, for giving us the treat we all deserve right now.
