Alber Elbaz’s AZ Factory To Close Paris Fashion Week
In honour of the late designer and creative director, the new label – which launched less than two years ago – will be the last show of the Spring 2022 fashion season
AZ Factory, a “factory and laboratory” fashion label founded in 2019, is set to close Paris Fashion Week in Autumn, as the brand pays homage to its founder and beloved designer Alber Elbaz, who passed away this April due to COVID-19.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the show will take place on October 5th at 8 PM CET and has been titled “Love Brings Love.” The commemoration of Elbaz is an emotional event that will undoubtedly be eye watering which shows just how impactful he was among his team, friends, family and anyone else that had the pleasure of knowing him. He is rightfully accredited for the evolution of Lanvin and will be remembered for his loving heart. The world needs more people like Elbaz whose goal was to bring joy, colour and life into anything he put his name on.
His passing will not be mourned on this day but rather celebrated. Elbaz’s passion for the fashion industry is forever lasting. During his final weeks of good health, AZ Factory partnered with PYRATEX, a textile company based in Europe, to curate fabrics from “organic cotton and innovative seaweed blend.” Even towards the end of his beautiful journey, Elbaz unsurprisingly continued to create and focus on the most meticulous details that made his work truly one of a kind.
