Amato Couture Will Open Arab Fashion Week With The Premiere Of A Fashion Flick
The Dubai based fashion house will reveal its latest collection via a short film focusing on the values of equality, unity, and diversity
AMATO Couture is a Dubai-based fashion house that is set to reveal their latest collection in a short fashion film that will open Arab Fashion Week. The premiere of the film will open Arab Fashion Week on October 21, 2020 at 20:00 (GST).
The new collection is titled Divine Indwelling and the fashion film, produced by YUGEN Group, reflects a story of equality, diversity and unity.
“In my own fashion universe, there are no boundaries – everyone is created equal. The film ‘Divine Indwelling’ states the fact of this special presence without explaining how it takes place,” AMATO Couture founder and creative director, Furne One, says.
Metallic gold and silver are a powerful duo in the collection entrancing you to have a sense of mystic and wonder. The first part of the film “”…ultimately reflects the AMATO woman; bold, brave and beautiful, and the sort of activism for racial equality,” director Alex Suhorucov explains. Furthermore, the second half focuses on a strong, warrior monarch lost in the wilderness played by Bollywood superstar and former Miss Universe India, Urvashi Rautela.
“The latest fashion film is all about the idea of ‘Someone’ or ‘Something’ working above us all. It could be our Gods, energy, destiny or whatever you want to call it. It is always present in our daily lives and that is what I want to show in this film. I want the viewers to realize the power greater than our power,” Furne notes.
“This collection is a revolution as well, as we face a brave new world, as a fashion designer, I have the power to dream and inspire people to dream bigger than our own dreams. The revolution is all about peace and harmony, understanding one another in a noisy, busy and complicated world that we live in and is the ultimate realization.” he adds.
Furne highlights that Urvashi is an important character in his film because she is an example of how working hard, following your dreams and succeeding, in spite of facing criticism online is a possibility for young women everywhere.
“She is here to inspire girls who share the same story – dreaming is believing,” he says.
