Ralph and Russo kicked off first day of Paris Haute Couture making major headlines.
The London-based label celebrated their 10th anniversary with the debut of their dreamy SS/20 couture collection at Paris Haute Couture Week, inspired by the brand’s archives and re-imagined with a contemporary flair.
Yet what made the collection particularly special was its use of their runway show to draw a spotlight on Australia's devastating bushfire crisis. In the hopes of raising awareness for the tragedy, the brand urged its guests and partners to take action and help with donations to Ralph and Russo’s Facebook fundraiser, in a pledge to donate to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.
The collection itself was positively ethereal, sticking to a stunning palette of colourful pastel hues. The gowns featuring voluminous ruffles, chic feathers, silk crepe tailleurs, springful florals and hand-painted organza trains, many of which also saw the inclusion of oversized bows to celebrate the brand’s incredible decade of iconic creations.
