Why We Can’t Get Enough Of Tiffany & Co’s New T1 Collection

Tiffany & Co. embraced the power of women with the launch of a new T1 collection and a collaboration with Emirati Brand YNM

This year, Tiffany & Co. celebrated women who embody the strength, resilience and modernity represented by their new collection entitled Tiffany T1. The brand sought out to recognise free spirits and innovators who are making a trailblazing impact and inspiring others. The collection was unveiled in April with a multitiered launch and marked the brand’s first product release exclusively comprising a diamond intensive, 18k rose gold look.

“This is the first time high jewellery has been introduced into the Tiffany T collection, which to me, expresses the idea that luxury should be effortless and can be worn even very casually so that it becomes a part of your life,” says the Chief Artistic Officer of Tiffany & Co., Reed Krakoff. “Very precious things can be worn everyday with an off-handed attitude and a sense of irreverence.”

Tiffany’s latest campaign, which focuses on celebrating women, involved a fruitful collaboration with a visionary thinker, Emirati fashion designer Yasmin Al Mulla. Under her fashion label YNM, which was founded in 2014 and specialises in simple, elegant and contemporary handmade garments, the Emirati designer crafted a collection featuring graceful, wearable kaftans made using rich materials in modest cuts.

Inspired by the Tiffany & Co. T1 collection, the fashion line radiates the scintillation of a diamond, Japanese silk, soft-to-the-touch Spanish organza and ethereal pleats. “The collection is infused by a combination of essential elements; culture, nature, and jewellery,” expresses Al Mulla. “Formed by the cluster of nature, captivating cultures, the facets in a diamond, symmetrical lines of T1 and the beautiful modest silhouette of the classic kaftans with a modern and contemporary twist.”

The T1 collection combines clean lines and graphic forms with new elegant, angular proportions and is beautifully elevated with expertly set diamonds, making it an ideal celebration of timelessness. “Tiffany has always been synonymous with elegance, innovative design, fine craftsmanship and creative excellence,” says Al Mulla.

“All pieces can be worn years after years, and generation after generation which defines our concept perfectly.” Honouring individualism, the Tiffany T1 collection and the capsule collection in collaboration with YNM elegantly exhibited the idea that we should celebrate ourselves, first and foremost.
